Production

Schedule

in a week- breakdown for Gilat (including approximate time table)

I think we should set a deadline for me to finish the flow chart and a deadline for each production flow to be ready, so if and when I do get people to work with I will have material.

My top-most priority is interaction ( mainly the physical, since that is the main application) and video (since only after I have material can I start the long post production)

I would like us to make a priority list dates included on the next meeting.

List of Equipment & Materials & Space

· Equipment to order from Minshar

· Space from minshar

· Equipment/material to buy

I have a month for that, according to Gilat.

  1. Check which PC to use to control the videos:

Ben (boyfriend) says that the way to do that is to install 2 video cards, each with dual view enabled.

the only issue with that is that the software "sending" the videos has to be able to send to multiple video cards. We found some references:

Team

  • video
  • tech (use tech tools document)
  • build

So I should send this as is to Shy and have him check what he has the ability/time/will to do?

yes, you can also email Nimrod Ram (student from Bezalel) Dormin@gmail.com and see if he is interested and if yes - show him this list.

Interaction

Flow

1. Moving in the room (Camera & Door)

2. Typing (Keyboard)

3. Interacting with cube (Handles)

1st

Almost ready. go over what i sent and apply the changes you like.

Keep a list of problems, open issues. see start at the end of this doc.

Block Diagram

1st

Great

I need to find a way to examine weather the microcontroller or the analogue to digital converter + parallel cable. (I don't think I can answer that alone, since you suggested the microcontroller and Ben the other thing.) I need to find another source.

Art & Built

Cube

1. Cube look & feel, material

2. Measures (Done)

3. Wiring plan (later)

1st

I am holding off on that for now- I think I want to be sure about all the other parts (size, wiring needed etc.). It will take me a couple of days to make a plan with my dad, plus a day or 2 to consult the framework people (if needed) and the about a week and a half to have them do it.

I am thinking of planing it as a modular unit, so any fault can be fixed without redoing the hwole thing.

Keyboard

1. look & Feel

2. Mark which keys do you want to have

Handles

For each handle specify:

1. look & feel & material (sketch/photo)

2. Size

3. functionality (on/off or # of levels)

4. xtra info – hard to pull, easy etc.

Room

1. Specify requirements (width, length, height, # of doors, windows, light, color, waiting area..)

You can do this now

Set (space in cube):

1. Sketch - Style, Size, Look etc

1st

Make a decision Real space or 3D? Get some visuals from your 3D guy.

Set – to do list

Later

I need to find out about blue/green screen "howto"s.

Room– to do list

Later

How do I control and organize one iser at a time?

Video & Post

Interactive Script (for director/actress)

Wait for the flow

List of scenes + effects (for post)

Character

work with actress

work with director

make them meet

actress is working on character, I am going to be working on a monologue with her for another class but with the char for this project.

Tech

Spec Main application

Wait for flow & script

List all interactions + corresponding video scenes

We will do it together

Spec Keyboard Dialog

Not sure you will need, later

Dialog content:

  1. start collecting input words
  2. start collecting answers
  3. define the relationship between the input and output (A.I.)

Spec Motion Tracking

Not sure you will need, later

Spec Physical (Microcontroller + Handles & Sensors):

Handles behavior

Wait for flow & art

Let’s do this together

you started this in the plastics.xls. the behavior of each handle.
questions:
how does the lock work? the on/off?
how does the tube work? what kind of touch?

Spec Saving user’s input & Statistics

Later

Open issues:

1. Interactive Video: How to solve the problem of “breaks” in scenes when the interactions switches the movie + how to deal with the reaction-location? - research.

2. how to deal with the death of the character?

3. נקודת אל-חזור

4. שולט נשלט

5. Using more than one handle at the same time

6. a handle with a good reaction- the pipe- what good reaction can it give?

7. keyboard- after doing the list of user-available words- aliminate the rest from the keyboard.

8. keyboard- a submit button to invoke reaction from the character?

9. what is the character doing while user is writing?

10.is microphone input good for the pipe(maybe not relevant according to note 6.)?
