The Prisoner- A very confusing build of an idea

well- this idea came up after Arnon mentioned the prisoners in Superman1 and later showed for a minute a charachter trapped in a frame in an installation somewhere.
Then I started thinking about the Cube people once again, and about the old show "the Prisoner" (No. 6) where the charachters aren't just trapped, but they also don't really know why or how they got to their prison.
I realised this could be a good analogy to something, but I'm still thinking "to what exactly?"
So there will be a prisoner, and the user's job will be to find out what that prisoner has been imprisoned for and wheather they are guilty or not.
The user walks into a room where the image is projected and will have to wake the prisoner up.The image of the prisoner will be projected onto an object in the room (a box or something) hanging in the air. On the walls of the room will be hidden buttons (small surfaces with a different texture) that (after the prisoner's begging them for help) the user will have to find. Each button will either straight out expose a detail about the prisoner or help the user discover details . Clues could be directions for questioning and pieces of pictures, for example.
On the surface that the charachter is presented on will be crutial hotspots but the character will make is very hard to approach (in means of sound) if it has something to hide, and the system will make some of the evidence very hard to reach by moving them around and tampering with them.
If the prisoner is innocent according to the user, they need to find a way to free the prisoner.

You could add an element of game into this too. Add a spot light that the visiter has to avoid (maybe while trying to help the person escape) If the spot light hits the visiter, alarms go off and the system moves into an danger state or add more trials...
